A Future without Rubbish, in India!

Shri Ram Universal School's (Palava, India ) involvement in the A Future Without Rubbish project to tackle waste and the climate emergency, reduce plastic use, and join an international coalition of schools committed to environmentally positive action, is reported here.

(video by CPS' Sarah Anelay) After first engaging last year on World Environment Day 2020, we started proceedings properly on the 13th of January 2021, as part of their 'All About the Environment' week and introduced them to A Future Without Rubbish.

During the next session in February, we will introduce them to the One Bag Zero Waste campaign and locally adapt the campaign to the Palava community, with the same three aims:

(1) to reduce plastic pollution,

(2) educate about the circular economy

(3) find the most environmentally friendly and economically viable bag to use for day-to-day local shopping.

Furthermore, they might be uniting as agents for A Future without Rubbish with schools in Oxfordshire (UK, and Transylvania (Romania) and Kyoto (Japan).
