Viscri

Viscri

Developing the project, our approach has four main strands: SCBC™.
The (1) local school, (2) the council, (3) the local business and (4) the community.
In Cisnadie these four strands have been brought together by CPSL’s A Future without Rubbish™. And the project lives!

Most villages in Transylvania are crying out for A Future without Rubbish™ and Viscri is no exception. The schoolchildren are behind it - the first and most important step!

And so we will keep working to develop Un Viitor fără Gunoi™ in Viscri, in 2016.

…. Viscri was where the seed idea of Un Viitor fără Gunoi™ was first planted in Luke Douglas-Home’s mind.

Gabriel Douglas-Home and Viscri schoolchildren collect some rubbish in 2012 – from here, Un Viitor fără GunoiTM,is researched by Luke Douglas-Home and born in 2016!

Viscri resident and councillor Caroline Fernolend, (also Director of Romania’s award-winning charity, The Mihai Eminescu Trust) calls a A Future without Rubbish™   project a “very important and innovative” initiative.

Please remember to leave your email address to keep updated on Viscri village developments. It is where Prince Charles bought his first house in Transylvania, such was the allure of the potential for eco-cultural-Tourism to him.
